Dr Athens explained the details of what needs to happen and what needs to happen moving forward in detail. She also gave a visual of the procedure by using a model image. Once administering the procedure she verbally talked me through while administering procedure. It was painful which she did explain but no one can predict the pain you would experience.

Dr. Athens is the best, and I am very grateful for her kind care and her accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Dr. Athens was empathetic to my care concerns. I have been to other doctors and OBs and switched to Emory in hopes of more progressive medical options. Dr. Athens' approach aligned with my personal medical, physical goals. I am interested to see if the recommended solution delivers the desired results. She definitely listened and was very knowledgeable of different options and offered one that I desired.

Dr. Athens and the entire care team at Emory are phenomenal. From the beginning of my pregnancy, to the delivery, and to the postpartum experience, the team made me feel cared for and confident that my baby and I were receiving the best care. They never made me feel like any question was too silly, and they treated our time together as if it was the most important part of their day, never making me feel rushed. They offer good options when there is no one right answer. I met with Dr. Athens a few times while pregnant, and I was so relieved to hear she was the on call attending during my delivery. She was phenomenal - helping me during a long time pushing with an optimal outcome. Overall, I am so grateful for my entire pregnancy experience at Emory.

Dr. Athens was wonderful. She took her time and thoroughly answered all of my questions. I never felt like she was in a rush or had somewhere else to be. She was also conscious that I had past trauma around being in the office and provided options, letting me make decisions about what would make me feel most comfortable. When I shared more about it she was very validating and understanding. My past trauma was at a different OBGYN office, and since moving to Emory's practice I have felt very well supported by every care provider I have interacted with.

I will tell all my friends and family Emory provide wonderful care!

I will not be recommending this care provider due to time management. She was nice but after waiting that long, I will never again.

Dr. Athens was very kind and had a calming presence. She was a good listener and answered all of my questions with clear information

I was very nervous for this appointment based off of how my original IUD insertion went with a provider who did not listen to me. The care provider and nurse both had such a calm presence, answered my questions and announced every step before they did it. The actual visit was maybe 15-20 minutes, but solidified my decision to have Emory be my provider going forward.

Dr. Athens was very attentive and took her time with explaining the answers to my questions. She was also very aware of my medical history at the beginning of my appointment.

Dr. Athens spent a good deal of time speaking to me and getting to know me as it was my first appointment together. She provided information and options for concerns and listened with empathy.

Dr. Athens is hands down one of the best physicians I've ever encountered. She's warm, patient, thorough, thoughtful, and empathetic. Anybody would be lucky to have her as their doctor. I only wish my appointment was longer so I could have spent more time talking w her!

I was hesitant about getting quality care from a resident doctor. But to my surprise, Dr. Zoe Athens was AWESOME! She blew me away with her compassion, kindness, & care. Dr. Athens listened to everything I had to say & to all of my concerns. She understood the pain I was in. She never rushed to get me out of the office. She even gave me the choice of a 3-day antibiotic or a 5-day antibiotic for a urinary tract infection. Also, later that day I sent a message to her through the portal about my urine test results & her nurse answered all of my questions by the end of that very day! Dr. Athens bedside manner is what all doctors should have with their patients.
