About the Provider

Where did you complete undergrad, medical school, internship, residency, fellowship? I received a Bachelor's in Microbiology with a minor in Arabic at University of Georgia in May 2019. Then, I completed an accelerated nursing program at Emory University, in which I obtained my BSN and MSN by December 2022. My RN license was attained in August 2021 and FNP-BC license in January 2023.
Any other notable training we should mention (robotic surgery, urogynecology, procedures)? N/A
Any particular areas of clinical interest? I enjoy completing annual physical exams in which cancer prevention screenings are discussed. Managing chronic care conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and high cholesterol are also interesting for me.
What made you want to become a doctor? I shadowed a nurse in high school and realized that I wanted to have that same deeply warm connections with patients. I also wanted to diagnose and treat patients leading me to become a nurse practitioner which is the best of both worlds.
What do you love about practicing medicine? I love working with patients to create a plan that works for them especially one that encourages healthy lifestyle choices.
What do you wish you could tell every patient and why?  It is very important to complete advanced directives regardless of age. Advance directives allow one to have control of their medical care when one is unable to speak for themselves and reduces stress on a caregiver of making tough decisions, which is why I believe it is very necessary document that all patients should complete.
Share any research you’ve done in your field of expertise (note that publications will be listed in its own section in Kyruus) N/A
Fun fact about you: I recently traveled to Cairo, Egypt in which I had the opportunity to go inside one of the Great Pyramids.
What do you enjoy doing when not at work? I enjoy reading books, watching movies and TV shows, and listening to music.
In what area of Atlanta do you live? Married? Kids? (if comfortable sharing) Not comfortable
What brought you to the Atlanta area? I have lived most of my life in Georgia and plan on continuing to stay here as I consider it home.
