About the Provider
Clyde Partin, MD, joined the EUOSH Medical Optimization Clinic (MOC) on September 1, 2024. A Shamrock High School alumnus, located just over a mile from EUOSH, Dr. Partin reflects fondly on his lifelong interest in sports medicine and orthopedics, influenced by his injury-free athletic background in high school and college. “I’ve always maintained an interest in sports medicine and orthopedics, and I’m thrilled to work more closely with the orthopedic team, many of whom I’ve known for years,” he shared.
Dr. Partin’s path to medicine began early, as he recalls aspiring to be a heart surgeon in first grade and later exploring neurosurgery in college. Ultimately, his journey led him to internal medicine, graduating from Emory School of Medicine in 1983. After completing his internal medicine training at Emory, he served six years on active duty as an internist and flight surgeon in the United States Air Force, stationed at Plattsburgh AFB in New York and Elmendorf AFB in Alaska.|
In 1992, Dr. Partin returned to Emory, where he has dedicated over three decades to practicing and teaching medicine. He founded and directed the Emory Diagnostic Clinic for Rare Diseases and Unexplained Symptoms, achieving a 30–35% success rate in solving complex cases. “If the Diagnostic Clinic were major league baseball, I’d be batting .300 to .350, which makes it sound better,” he quipped.
Married to Kim DeGrove for 39 years and the proud father of two sons, Dr. Partin is enthusiastic about his new role at the MOC. “I am truly delighted to work alongside Dr. Jennifer Culley and Rima Patel, NP,” he said. The MOC team looks forward to serving the community and invites you to reach out for assistance.

Dr. Partin has been a fantastic doctor! I'm so sorry he's going into retirement next month. He'll be difficult, pretty much impossible, to replace. Dr. Partin has been a caring, knowledgeable resource who added an unbelievable quantity of quality to my medical needs. He'll be sorely missed.

- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 4/20/2024
As always Dr Partin provides impeccable & special care. I am sorely going to miss my annual visits. His ability to diagnose & treat are naturally instinctual, it's the type of care you just don't see in other medical professionals. Again, it's disheartening he's retiring but I wish him the very best life has to offer.
