About the Provider
Dr. Tangpricha is a graduate of Tufts Medical School and completed his medical residency, fellowship in endocrinology and Ph.D. in molecular medicine on the topic of vitamin D at Boston University. He was recruited to Emory in 2004. He provides clinical care for patients with vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis, cystic fibrosis and gender dysphoria/transgender.
Dr. Tangpricha is a physician scientist and is funded by the NIH and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to study vitamin D in a number of health conditions. He also has received funding in collaboration with faculty members in the Emory School of Public Health to investigate health conditions in the transgender population.
He has published over 200 peer reviewed research articles, reviews and book chapters. He serves on several national and international committees related to his clinical and research work.

Dr Tangpricha is awesome. He was on the telehealth call the entire time. He always listens intently and includes me in decisions abiut my health. I always have questions ready because I like researching and being informed as well as involved in my healthcare decisions. Dr T always welcomes and answers my questions without reservation. He is also very caring and has a great bedside manner. He is extremely knowledgeable and I trust his judgment about anything with my care. Awesome doctor and would recommend him to anyone who needs an excellent Endocrinologist!

Doctor was very informative, answered all my questions! Though seemed in a bit of a hurry near the end of the appointment. Very busy place so I suppose it's normal! Try to be ready and concise about what you want to discuss.

I have a hard time getting medical care in general. Doctors frequently don't take my issues seriously. Dr. Tangpricha is the only doctor who I genuinely trust with my life not just out of his knowledge in his field, but for his treatment of patients.
