This was my 4th MOHS surgery with Dr Blalock. I trust him implicitly and that is the best thing I can say about a doctor!

Dr. Blalock was very thorough with my exam and explained how I was to care for my scalp at home. Also he told me what I may expect in the future with my scalp condition. He made me feel hopeful and confident in his care now and in the future.

During the consult, Dr. Blalock explained the options for treatment and the advantages and disadvantages of each option. I felt very confident in the choice we agreed on. Dr. Blalock clearly showed me how much area would be cut. The close also went very smoothly. I later learned that Dr. Robinson did the cutting and close as Dr. Blalock supervised/assisted. I was very happy with the results of both the cut and close.

Dr. Blalock offered another option but ultimately I preferred the MOHS option.I greatly appreciated that he was able to adjust the local anesthesia as to reduce " jitters" as I experienced this with past MOHS procedures and dental work. His adjustment and the nurses administration of the "local"worked like a charm!

Dr. Blalock preformed a similar procedure for me in 2024. He is great to work with. Explained what I needed to know about the process, allowed me to participate in decisions about the process that were appropriate for me to be involved in. Dr. Blalock should be teaching a course in physicians interfacing with patients. Great at it.

Excellent. Very professional and efficient.

I went in for a minor procedure. Felt Dr went overboard talking radiation, skin grafts etc (for trainees' benefit) so then I became scared and made me very nervous. Turned out one layer removed. Tiny spot on nose. Then Dr is wanting to do a skin graft! It's nice to have options but again felt it was unnecessary and for students benefit not mine. It's healing nicely. Doubt will scar. I'm 65 not a young model who's worried about a tiny spot on my face.

Dr. Blalock provided outstanding care in performing the procedure. Any time a patient hears the word "cancer", he, she or they immediately becomes apprehensive. Dr. Blalock spent time to explain the situation, to answer all of my questions and to allay my fears.

Best experience I have had with a doctor (or healthcare provider) in a very long time! Dr. Blalock has an exceptional bedside manner. He was knowledgeable, responsive, and demonstrated a genuine concern for my well being and needs. He offered insightful recommendations and reasonable options. He also made me aware of treatment options that were available for any cosmetic issues that might bother a patientno pressure, just FYI.

Dr. Blalock and his fellow were incredible! I cannot say enough good things about them. First, they worked me back into the schedule promptly when I was late. Also, I was very nervous to have a biopsy and about aftercare for healing. They when out of their way to spend time answering all of my questions and addressing my concerns. Though my being late must have made them time-pressed, they never made me feel rushed at all. Dr. Blalock and Dr. S (?) made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process and led with being human first. Dr. Blalock explained the procedure, risks, and followup very clearly. He truly made me feel like I had shared decision making in my plan of care. I would recommend these doctors over and over again for their kindness, consideration, thoroughness, knowledge, and clinical skills. Thank you.
