I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Yoon to anyone who is considering neck or back surgery. He has been my surgeon on two separate occasions and I have been well pleased with the results.

Dr. Yoon does the surgery he says he will do and does it correctly but does not feel obligated to address any new or other symptoms that may have arose from the procedure or new concerns since the procedure. It felt more like and in and out in a hurry visit.

Explained seriousness of procedure before surgery. Never felt pressured into surgery. Staff always available after procedure during recovery. Results of every visit, every test and Xray posted on My Chart for my review.

Most doctors would just tell you there is nothing that can be done. Dr. Yoon explained exactly why there is nothing to be done. I left understanding why no surgery can be performed. And I was able to accept that because of his clear explanation. Grateful.

Our very pleased the way everything was going

Dr. Yoon is very to talk to, and very experienced with my condition. My only constructive feedback is that I would have liked to view my MRI results with him so he could point to the nerve compression problems in my cervical spinal canal. This would have helped me understand the issues better. I went home and researched my issues and his notes and finally understood better.

Removed restrictions but would have liked more discussion on how best to slowly bring my body back to normal - like a plan of action, I think a referral to PT would have been helpful (I later requested one and it was sent).

While technically very good, his concern for me as a person was non existent. He had one foot out the door a minute after arrival. Whole encounter was less than 5 minutes. I have learned from this experience that I needed to shop around for a team that would meet my expectations. The first encounter was great , once I agreed to surgery , I was in the system and there was no need to be interested.

Dr.Yoon is extremely talented! He did an amazing job on my spine! I've been having a problem with my toes and feet! They feel tingly, sensitive to touch! Dr. Yoon says that can happen, it will go away! But, I would have liked him to explain why, and what causes that! Because, it gets worse...if I'm sitting!

I came there after I've had two doctors look at my MRI and the report and say that I have new issues in my spine at a part that Dr. Yoon refused to look at he only wanted to look at where he had done the fusion 10 years ago, which I've had no problems with the problems are all new and it was like he refused to even accept that I have no problems. He was rude made me cry, and I will never go back to Emory.
