About the Provider

Thomas O’Malley, MD, is an assistant professor of Surgery in the Cardiothoracic Surgery Department and practices at Emory University Hospital Midtown and Grady Memorial Hospital. He completed his medical degree at the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. He then completed his general surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Following residency, he completed his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Emory University, after which he joined as faculty.

Dr. O’Malley’s primary clinical focus is general thoracic surgery with particular interest in thoracic oncology, esophageal surgery, and robotic thoracic surgery. His research interests include surgical ergonomics and outcomes in thoracic oncology.

Interpretive Services

To provide the highest quality of care, interpreter services may be utilized to ensure proper communication of medical information for deaf, hard-of-hearing, and non-English speaking patients or family members.
