Dr. Johnson is the director for the Division of General Internal Medicine.
Dr. Johnson is a Professor in the Department of Medicine, with adjunct appointments in Public Health, Nursing, and Urology. He serves as the Director of the Division of General Internal Medicine and holds the Paul W. Seavey Chair in Medicine. He is Chair of the Family and Preventive Medicine Department. Dr. Johnson is a collaborating physician for the Integrated Memory Care Clinic (IMCC). He does not see patients within the IMCC, but he consults with the nurse practitioners. He is board certified in internal medicine and geriatric medicine.
Dr. Johnson received his MD from Northwestern University Medical School and his MPH from the University of North Carolina School of Public Health in Chapel Hill, NC. Dr. Johnson first arrived at Emory University and the Atlanta VA Medical Center in 1997.
Dr. Johnson's clinical research program focuses on delivering the appropriate care to elderly patients and quality of life issues facing adults as they age. In particular, he studies particular bladder dysfunction with aging. He receives support from federal and VA grants.

I tell Dr. Ted Johnson he should give classes in bedside Manor. He is thorough. He knows everything he remembers everything. I can't say enough I could not be happier.

Dr. Johnson is without equal. His ability to communicate with the caregivers with the patient is so concerned so patient and so thorough. We always leave feeling we have been heard and feeling that we understand my husbands condition so much better. He is so respectful of the dementia patient.
