Referring me to another doctor for my well being is the best thing that can happen. I really appreciate Dr Safri.

My new doctor and I are still getting used to each other. I really like Dr. Safri. My only issues are that I often don't hear her correctly. I am hard of hearing, and she wears a mask. I can't see her lips to lip read what I am not picking up with my hearing aids. Otherwise, she's fantastic!

At my first visit, I explained that I was transferring from a different healthcare network after years of experiencing symptoms related to beta thalassemia and feeling like I hadn't received adequate care. I was upfront about why I was seeking a new primary care physician-because I need someone who will take my history seriously and be willing to partner with me in navigating my care.To her credit, Dr. Safri did listen and provided referrals for a GYN, cardiologist, and gastroenterologist. I appreciated that. However, I didn't feel an immediate sense of care or concern-perhaps understandably, since we had just met. Still, I did find myself having to ask whether she would be willing to partner with me in managing my health. Her response was that I needed to let her "do her job," which felt slightly dismissive in the moment, considering how long it's taken me to get to this point of advocacy.After our visit, I had to follow up multiple times to request a ferritin test-a critical lab given my symptoms and medical history. It wasn't until my third message that the order was finally placed, several days after my initial appointment. When the lab came back showing low ferritin and iron levels, I again reached out through MyChart. This time, Dr. Safri called me, and I asked for a course of action and next steps. Her response was that we would have to wait until the hematology referral, which is currently booked until October. I asked if she could expedite the referral, and I'm waiting to see how that plays out.Overall, I am hopeful-but cautious. I'm looking for a physician who will partner with me and not make me chase after basic lab orders or answers. I truly hope that this relationship with Dr. Safri will grow into one of trust, collaboration, and proactive care.

On my initial visit with the doctor, I felt like I wasn't being heard about my health concerns. I had labs done, received results, and had plenty of questions about the results. She didn't go over all the results but just the ones she was concerned about. It took at least a week from my results to schedule the appointment, which was virtual.

She had no bedside manners and didn't want to check my throat which was the reason I came it. I had to ask her to check it and she said I will have to get my mask and I told her I'll wait. I'm unsure why she thought I had covid from my symptoms I stated.

Doctor asked pertinent questions, listened closely to my responses, offered advice on treatment. The time did not feel rushed.

Notes were NOT accurate. Longest medication discussion, and she forgot to send to pharmacy. Called Emory, and reported inaccuracies In notes and STILL - over a WEEK LATER - have not heard back. Doctor obviously did not listen to me.

For a followup mammogram, Dr assumed I would go to an Emory facility rather than where I have gone before

This doctor does NOT listen to me.She only goes by her own views. As such, she caused me to spend an entire day at the ER for NO reason!

I get very nervous going to see doctors. White coat syndrome. the team made my visit comfortable and easy, This made me calm and relaxed.

Doctor was not in tune with me. She didn't begin the conversation by asking me what my concerns were but led the conversation w info regarding weight loss management. I interjected to let her know that wasn't the purpose of the appointment. I don't believe she was looking at my chart. She asked me questions not associated w me. I also had to correct her about my age when she said I was 35- which I am not. I'm not confident that the info regarding my blood pressure is actually pertaining to me considering she had a lot of other info about me wrong.
