After being placed in patient room, An Additional hour was spent waiting. Once seen by the doctor the visit went well. However, it was a quick visit and the doctor left the room to get the nurse to take a blood sugar test and never return to answer questions or follow up regarding the results of the blood sugar test which was high. I am still concern as to the future care concerning this outcome. I was told he was not available and was with another patient. This was unusual as Dr Patten is usually very attentive and spend adequate time and concern with the care of his patients.

AWESOME EXPERIENCE WITH MY DR AND MY HEALTH REPORT WAS GOOD!

When I was in the office the care was good. However, after my lab results started pouring in, the doctor called me in a prescription without discussing preventative measures to try and avoid more medicines. When I wrote messages in the portal the doctor failed to respond. I would have appreciated a follow-up from my primary doctor as opposed to being put off to schedule additional referral appointments without explaining the need.

I'm a retire RN. I worked at Grady in the NICU and Pediatric Room from 1975 to1988. I worked with many interns, residents and attending physicians who led rounds that I went on with them at times. Some of the attending doctors were outstanding physicians. I worked with the interns and residents most of the time. My experience has taught me to spot physicians of different competency levels. Dr. Patten is an outstanding physician. He goes the extra mile to make one feel comfortable and doesn't rush. He is thorough and genuinely cares about his patients. I've told some of my friends about him already.

I really like Dr. Patton. He is calm and friendly and listens. Listening is the most important part of being a doctor in my opinion and it is hard to find when doctors are so rushed.

Dr stated if I wanted to get to the bottom of my issue, he'd recommend I follow up with a referral made by my dentist! Problem is, wasn't sure he listened to recording and me saying to him I had strong concerns about that one referral, and if there were some others he may recommend. I even mentioned a referral to speech therapy for this issue presented by a nurse, but there was nothing mentioned about it from Dr or in my visit summary notes! I would still recommend this Dr because overall I believe he is a good Dr, we all can do improvements!!!

Very thorough in approach to History and Physical

I am always comfortable talking with Dr. Patten because he is going to be honest with me whether he agrees or disagrees and I appreciate that.

PCP spoke intelligently and clearly. However, questions quickly arose after the visit. Future actions were not comprehensive enough.In Portal questions re: medication and a request for clarification, the first response was vague and a second question re: medication was not answered at all.

I would refer Dr. Patten to anyone because he is a good doctor but the other doctors like the specialist I won't because they doesn't care about your care and they cost you an abundant of money trying things in stead of repairing the problem your having. It seems like to the hospital it's more about making more money than helping the person.
