Dr. Westerman is the best. She took time to explain everything and discussed the pros and cons of the Watchman procedure. After looking through my chart's history and asking about my current situation she offered her opinion on whether the procedure was right for me at this time. She suggested I stay on my present course with medication rather than installing the Watchman. She did leave the final decision to me. We mutually agreed that it would be best at this time to forego the Watchman procedure but will revisit later pending a future meeting about the procedure with other Doctors. I feel very comfortable with her advice and our decision to not do the procedure at this time. I know Doctor Westerman is very busy but she was very patient and answered all the questions from me and my wife and never made us feel rushed. She was very thorough. She gets the highest possible rating from me.

The care provider, Dr Westerman was so very thorough and even show pictures on the website of what the process and item was going to be placed and what other options there were and all the xplanations we needed to make a final decision and the knowledge that I needed to see that this will be the very best option for me to go thru and what it was going to be like. She was open to any questions we had and the best way to go about it, also explaining that it was going to be a day or so stayed at the hospital for observaton and the outcome. I would highly recommend Dr Westerman to anyone questioning this procedure. Very pleased with her and her concerns. We are doing the procedure for sure.

Listens, questions & discusses so well

The experience in the office was very positive but then I read the note where she said my previous symptoms were due to work steer or Covid long haulers. Maybe a previous doctor had documented that I'm not sure but it is very upsetting thanks women's symptoms are still attributed to stress. I saw an excellent neurologist outside of Emory who diagnosed with a long covid like neurological condition and I told her. Women need to be taken seriously. This is why we die of heart attacks when men don't.

This was a first mtg with Dr. Westerman in 5 yrs. In explaining my recent medical history, she interrupted with "how does it pertaining to my Afib". Her only concern seemed to be her specialty. I felt it was a curt interruption and afterwards felt rushed.

Dr. Westerman always takes time to listen and offer feedback and encouragement. She is professional, compassionate, and encouraging.
