Sophia McIntyre, MD

As a family physician, I believe that healthcare is most effective when it’s rooted in prevention and built on a strong partnership between doctor and patient. I’m passionate about helping individuals and families stay healthy by focusing on proactive, preventive care and empowering them with the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions. I value shared decision-making, and I see each patient as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. My goal is to provide care with compassion, respect, and dignity, creating a space where patients feel heard, supported, and truly cared for at every stage of life.
Outside of my work as a physician, I find joy in staying active, especially through running, and spending quality time with my family. Watching my two sons play soccer is one of my favorite pastimes, and it reminds me to celebrate life's simple, meaningful moments. I love to travel and explore new cultures, and I often find peace and perspective through gospel music. To stay grounded, I intentionally make space for stillness and reflection. Serving others, whether through my profession or in everyday life, brings me a deep sense of purpose and fulfillment.
