About the Provider
Sonia Ros is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in
Nursing from Emory University before earning her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family
Nurse Practitioner from the University of South Alabama.
As a Nurse Practitioner, Sonia has experience in family medicine, where she provides
comprehensive care to patients across their lifespan. She is committed to fostering strong
provider-patient relationships, ensuring continuity of care, and delivering evidence-based
treatment plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner, Sonia gained specialized experience in Hematology?Oncology. She served as a Clinician in the Bone Marrow Transplant unit at Emory University
Hospital, where she managed complex patient cases, collaborated with interdisciplinary teams,
and provided critical care to immunocompromised patients.
"I chose to become a Nurse Practitioner because I wanted to have a more direct, long-term
impact on patients’ lives,” Sonia explains. "Throughout my career, I’ve witnessed the power of
forming strong, trusting relationships with patients and being there to guide them through both
challenging and everyday health decisions."
What Sonia loves most about practicing medicine is the ability to connect with people from all
walks of life and work together to improve their health and quality of life. "Medicine offers me
the opportunity to not only diagnose and treat but also to educate and empower patients to take
charge of their health," she says. "I find great fulfillment in knowing that I can help people live
healthier, happier lives."
Sonia’s advice to every patient is simple: "You are the most important part of your healthcare
team. Ask questions, be involved in the decision-making process, and always advocate for your
own well-being. Your voice is crucial to your health journey."
Outside of work, Sonia enjoys global health initiatives, volunteering, and mentoring future
healthcare professionals. She has been recognized by the Lillian Carter Center for Global Health
& Social Responsibility for her contributions to advancing health equity. When not in the clinic,
she loves exploring Atlanta, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Sonia is thrilled to be a part of the vibrant, growing healthcare community in Atlanta. "I moved
to Atlanta to further my career in medicine, and the city's dynamic healthcare landscape and
supportive community have made it the perfect place for me to continue my professional and
personal growth."

Dr. Ros Took her time explained self-care to me. She knew what was best and what was right for My Health as a patient. Before I left her office, I felt so at ease her best advice to me is to rest up and that's what I'm doing and I see the benefits of it. Thank you so much DR.

- 1 out of 5 starsReviewed on 11/13/2025
She dismissed any questions or concerns. Did not read my chart and this was not the first time I have seen her? Suggested a military wife go to Psychiatrist for one antidepressant because I lost my husband in the war back In 2005. She blew me off completely when I tried to explain the kidney stones and lump in my throat have returned. The last time it was an overproduction of calcium caused by damage to my parathyroids from covid. I have had to have one removed already. I was told it was just going around and not worth testing because it was a virus. Not being able to swallow and a sore throat are 2 very different things.

Was not repaired for the televisit at all. Didn't even know the purpose of the visit. This office has had a form that needs to be completed for two weeks. Understand that a doctor or NP needed to see the patient. But she had absolutely no idea what we were discussing. In addition was more than 20 minutes late for the televisit.
