About the Provider

Dr. Sonali Bora is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist committed to improving the emotional lives of her clients. She was born and raised in India where she completed her medical school. She moved to the US with her husband and joined the Centers for Disease Control to do a fellowship in Public Health Informatics. With her knowledge of medicine and background in public health, she decided to pursue a residency and fellowship at Emory University School of medicine to have a broader impact on the community. Dr. Bora strongly believes that a healthy mind leads to a healthy body. Her practice focuses on integrating the mind and body to improve physical and emotional wellbeing.
In addition to providing mental health care services such as psychotherapy, consultation, and psychopharmacology through her private practice, Dr. Bora is the medical director for the psychiatry consultation-liaison service for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Emory University School of Medicine. She is an active member of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Georgia Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
With her breadth and depth of training, Dr. Bora is equipped to serve a variety of clients. She works with them on issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, oppositional behaviors, bipolar disorder, school disciplinary issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, and autism spectrum disorders. She specializes in treating mental problems in patients with complex medical problems and psychosomatic disorders. Her approach centers on taking the time to know her clients and families well and individualizing treatment to best serve them.
