Dr. Shauntaye was absolutely phenomenal! She clearly explained my MRI results and was patient and thorough with me regarding where my pain was in my foot and what I was feeling. I appreciate her and the care team for taking my concerns seriously and ordering extra tests on my behalf to ensure there was no additional damage to my foot and nerves. I felt seen, heard, and cared for at Emory and under the care of Dr.Shauntaye.

She explained very clearly about a problem that I've been struggling with for years. Everyone else told me that my foot pain is because of the nerves in my back (which may be part of the problem) but she explained that the joint above my big toe isn't moving as it should and that I also have arthritis in the joint. And she gave me next steps that may relieve the pain! She was very clear and easy to talk to. I felt more hopeful when I left.

Upon entering the room, Dr. Elliot greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel at ease. She was not rushed and took the time to listen attentively as I explained my condition. Her examination of my feet was thorough, and she offered thoughtful options and preventive care suggestions. Rather than immediately recommending medication or an injection, she explained how physical therapy could be beneficial and provided guidance on appropriate insoles for my shoes.I truly appreciated the professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail shown by the entire team.

She advised in home physical therapy should take place in the next 4 to 5 weeks. PT comes out 1 time a week & work on weight bearing w/exercises w/me. PT & I should report progression in a couple of weeks before any extension on STD.

Shantye Elliott, PA is amazing. She has a great bedside manner and really listens to you. We discussed Vitamin D supplements. She ordered a Vitamin level so we could make a decision on the need.
