Shane Mangrum, MD, is a double board-certified physiatrist at Axion Spine & Neurosurgery in Alpharetta, Georgia, specializing in non-operative treatments for spine and musculoskeletal conditions. He is board-certified in both physical medicine and rehabilitation and sports medicine, with a holistic, patient-centered approach to care.
Dr. Mangrum earned his undergraduate degree in organismic and evolutionary biology from Harvard College and completed medical school at the University of Utah. He trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation at both Mayo Clinic and the University of Utah.
He is a member of the American Academy of Medical Acupuncture and holds certification from the Titleist Performance Institute (TPI), which integrates golf-specific movement and performance into treatment strategies.
