Seth Zachary Aschen, MD

Dr. Seth Aschen is a plastic surgeon specializing in complex reconstruction after breast cancer, oncologic resections, trauma, and abdominal wall hernias. He completed fellowship training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where he developed an expertise in advanced microsurgical techniques. Prior to his fellowship training, he finished an integrated plastic surgery residency in the combined Cornell and Columbia program at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. In his final year of residency training Dr. Aschen was selected to serve as Chief Resident for Clinical Education. Prior to residency he received an MBA with Distinction from Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Business.

Dr. Aschen is committed to advancing the field of plastic surgery through research. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and textbook chapters. His research focuses on microsurgery, oncologic reconstruction, advanced breast cancer reconstruction, limb salvage, clinical outcomes, and lymphedema. He’s active in professional societies including the American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery, American College of Surgeons, and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Aschen is dedicated to technical proficiency and compassionate care. He enjoys helping patients achieve their reconstructive goals.
