I've been a long-term patient of Dr. Gilbert and will continue to see him as long as possible. He's a straight shooter and realistic without being too harsh, and he has a great bedside manner. I've got a very stubborn diagnosis and haven't responded well to many mainline medications, and Dr. Gilbert is not only in constant contact with my specialists (like a quarterback leading the team) but also researches on his own time to try to find new treatments for me. I can't tell you how much of a difference it makes knowing you've got someone this knowledgeable and capable in your corner, as someone who got behind the 8-ball in life. I can't tell and do recommend him to anyone in my life looking for a PCP and have known people who transferred their care to him based on my referral and they love him too.

I was having headaches that I thought were due to the medication and took days to hear back with a generic answer saying to schedule an appt in which was a month out. Dr. Samuel Gilbert has been my GP for around 15+. He's been a great doctor throughout the entire time always treating me with results. I moved away from the area five years ago, but still drive two hours away to go see him. He sits with you and actually has a discussion with you to ensure he can resolve whatever issues you have. I consider myself so fortunate to be under the care of Dr. Gilbert. I'm 61. Ive been to many physicians in my lifetime, and worked in healthcare. He is my favorite doctor of all time. Dr. Gilbert listens to my concerns and discuses treatment options with me. I trust his judgment and knowledge. When I have a medical problem, I feel completely confident in his ability to help me. He is always professional and has the best bedside manner. At this appointment, I was there for depression and mentioned an upcoming appointment with my orthopedic surgeon re: hip pain. I told him how worried I was that I might need another surgery. Dr. Gilbert took time to check out my hip and reassure me that the joint was ok and surgery was highly unlikely. He also said he knew the surgeon and gave him high marks. This extra attention and reassurance provided me with so much relief. And, Dr. Gilbert was correct in his assessment. I saw the surgeon and my hip was fine. The pain eventually resolved on its own. Bottom line is, Dr. Gilbert is a tremendous asset to your practice. Please give him a Big Bonus this year!!
