About the Provider

Dr. Khan was born in Los Angeles, CA but has been in Atlanta since 1988 and considers Atlanta home.  He grew up in Gwinnett County and attended Shiloh High School.  Dr. Khan later attended Emory University where he graduated with High Honors and was inducted into the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.  He then received his medical degree at Emory University School of Medicine and is where he developed a strong interest in Orthopaedic Surgery.
He was then accepted to the prestigious NYU-Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City for his 5 year orthopaedic surgery internship and residency.  While in New York he became involved in the care of numerous athletic teams and organizations including becoming Associate Team Physician for the New York Mets and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater.  Dr. Khan went on to seek subspecialty training specializing in advanced reconstructive surgery of the shoulder, elbow and knee in Jackson, Mississippi at MSMOC.  During that time he also authored multiple textbook chapters in the surgical technique and management of shoulder and elbow injuries in throwing athletes.  He also served as the Team Physician for the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils.  
Dr. Khan is Board Certified and has been in practice in Atlanta since 2007.  He currently serves as the Chief of Orthopaedics at Emory Johns Creek Hospital.  He is married to an Emergency Room Physician and spends his free time with his four small children.  He also loves playing basketball and tennis and is a self-proclaimed weekend warrior.
