This was the longest visit I had with Dr. Up, it was a relaxed exam that wasn't rushed through due to over booking.

Dr. U is a true gem and an asset in the medical field! As a neuromuscular specialist in Emory she possesses unparalleled expertise, but what sets her apart is her extraordinary compassion, empathy, and kindness. From the moment she stepped into the room, I felt a sense of calm and reassurance. Dr. U walked in with a warm smile and a gentle demeanor, immediately putting me at ease. She listened attentively to my concerns, gave answers to all my questions and taking the time to understand my unique situation and was listening to me for more than an hour. Dr. U also gave every tiny information on how I can navigate myself on my day to day life situations or events. Examined me throughly with respect and gave me suggestions on how I can improve. Her ability to explain complex medical concepts in a clear, concise manner was impressive. Dr. U made sure I understood every aspect of my diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis, addressing all my questions and fears. What struck me most, however, was Dr. U's genuine care and concern for my well-being. She treated me like family, offering words of encouragement and support. Her empathy and kindness made a profound impact on my life, providing comfort during a challenging time.If you're seeking a doctor who truly cares, looks beyond just your medical chart, and treats you with dignity and respect, look no further than Dr. U. I feel fortunate to have found such an exceptional healthcare provider and highly recommend her to anyone seeking expert neuromuscular care especially in muscular dystrophy.

As my previous provider had recently left Emory Healthcare, this was my first time meeting Dr. U. I enjoyed meeting her and am confident in my future health under Dr. U's care.

Dr U was very nice and came across as very much concerned as to how to best serve my needs in regards to limb girdle disease. She updated me on new procedures not available to me 40 years ago.

With any rare disorder, it is tough to see a provider that is 1.clearly stretched too thin and 2. Does not have a deep enough background in your particular disorder to provide detailed, helpful care.
