Dr. Mason was training a student and I enjoyed hearing him guide him through the procedure. The one thing I would say was that what I was told would happen (PRP and hyaluronic acid gel, 2 injections) was not exactly what I had (the blood platelet part and 3 injections to shoulder joint, tendon area, and rotator cuff. He explained clearly afterward why he chose to do more, but I was confused while in process. I definitely support his choices.

Dr. Mason was very informative and attentive, allowing me to make my mind up about treatment options after explaining them.

Dr. Mason is one of the best doctors I have seen in a long time. He took his time and listened to my concerns about my right knee. He knew I was nervous about getting a gel injection, so he explained each step during the ultrasound. He had a game plan for follow up treatment if needed. Wonderful bedside manner as well.

I waited almost an hour passes by appointment time to see Dr. Mason. It would have been nice if the staff checkin to let me know how long the wait was or where I was in line. That would have been nice. They just put you in a room and leave you there. However. Dr. Mason was worth the wait. Very clear explanations. He listened to me and answered my questions.

Wasn't informed to not take NSAIDs after my injections until I read it in an online message several days after my second Injection.

I love Dr. Mason. He is the consummate professional: great bedside manner, wonderful at listening and not rushing, good at giving shots, great follow up. I feel well taken care of.

The ultrasound was not used for the injection and he accidentally punched a small vein in my knee. Which led to minor bleeding as I walk to the elevator had to return to the exam room for the nurse to clean me up and stop the bleeding with additional Band-Aids

Doctor was pleasant but did not explain that he would not be providing anesthetic in my injection in advance. I wasn't given a choice to have it or not. Injection was very painful and I was not prepared for it. That was frustrating and disappointing

Staff to make an appointment and follow up is the best I have experienced anywhere.

The nurse or x-ray tech printed my x-rays because I asked if I could see them and Dr. Mason took the time and patience to show it and explain it. Just very nice and had a positive attitude, beginning by saying that it will heal. I knew it was a simple fracture from a check at urgent care, but hearing him lead with reassurance was nice.

Been at Emory over 20 years so it's not often I start with a new care provider. It was great to have a fresh perspective, be held accountable for my health journey and be provided clear next steps forward.

Dr. Mason was professional, but not engaging. He explained the procedure, but didn't explain any followup directions as mentioned in his letter. I did know to take it easy after the injection.

Doctor is terrible. No question about my background, education etc. I have knee pain so basically he need to perform so many test using his hands. So basically he didn't. On the report I have seen on Mychart he mentioned he did all those test which is a lie. He explanation of the problem show a lack of care and knowledge. This is the truth I felt and see. Doctor did not discuss much care only to say the more you use your are the better. He never said to apply ice or discuss side effects. No brochures nothing. Just ask safety questions like my name date of birth and which are to be injected. Oh he did apologize for the long wait delay. After completing the injection he then said use the are more for better results

Very happy with Dr Mason

I'm not well pleased with essentially the self-help approach: simply being instructed to not throw until he's not hurting and then handed generic printouts (left blank). Honestly, I expected much more professional care- Some professional consultation. On-site time with a therapist instructing and demonstrating proper method and application

He didn't listen to a thing I said. Stop trying to send patients for unnecessary tests and scans when the issue has already been explained. Completely on a money grab so you can bill an MRI and you left me with no option but to find another provider and take my business elsewhere. Dr Mason is undoubtedly the worst physician I have ever dealt with, regardless of practice or specialty. He spent less than 2 minutes in the room. And helped/solved absolutely nothing. Completely ignored my past history and prescribed me an NSAID when I explicitly said those have never worked. I have a wedding in two weeks, debilitating hip pain, and he denied me a cortisone shot for temporary relief to money grab for an MRI. ABSOLUTE FRAUD. I will never do business with any department in Emory medical ever again. And you have Dr mason to thank for that.
