The PA listened carefully to my questions and concerns and was very gentle as she checked my body. I am usually uncomfortable when my body is being checked or examined, but with her I was able to stay calm.

We have been working with Priya for two years or so. We find her care to be wonderfully professional and can tell she has our best interests at heart. We are in good hands.

My doctor was accompanied by a student, which was absolutely fine. I did not mind; however, I wish my doctor would have introduced the student to me. It was sort of awkward having someone in the room that was never acknowledged by my doctor.

My experiences with this visit, and the Emory Healthcare System In general, have always been good. I whine about the valet parking at the Peachtree, but it's a small deal compared to the excellent care and courtesy my wife and I receive.

Dr. Parikh did not give me the impression that she cared about my well-being. The visit started off with Dr. Parikh asking me why I was there prior to 1 year, and I explained that in my previous visit with another doctor, they suggested moving my visits up to every 6 months. The conversation did not resolve as if she agreed but rather made me feel like she didn't think that I needed to be there. While Dr. Parikh performed a skin exam looking at my arms, legs, back, stomach, and under my hair to make sure there were no concerns, I thought she did it fairly hastily. Dr. Parikh addressed a spot that I was concerned about and said that it did not look like a potential cancer. In the MyChart report, I am reading that "Patient counseled on ABCD's of melanoma. Patient encouraged to perform monthly self skin exams to look for new or changing lesions. Patient counseled on importance of sunscreen and sunprotective clothing.". These conversations did not happen. The report stated that two previous lesions were examined, "Well healed scar with no evidence of reoccurrence". Dr. Parikh did not examine the two scars as they remained covered. I would have appreciated Dr. Parikh having slowed down a bit in order to give me the impression that she has concern for my wellbeing, and I do not appreciate recording details of the exam in the report that did not occur.

On automatic as on a script ...didn't seem to care about past visits and diagnosis from dermatology at rmory ....and once decided on process it was done!....didn't listen to my concerns

PA Priya followed up with me by phone and in MyChart to confirm that I understood the medications she prescribed for me.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with Emory over the years but she was not one of them. Her dispassionate manner and nonchalant attitude was off putting. I'm worried about the sun and my meds causing skin cancer and I don't think the gravitas of my concern resonated with her.

My Emory rheumatologist had said that a core biopsy would be helpful, but the provider said that I should use Triamcin0lone twice a on each rashy area. When I mentioned the rheumatic diagnosis, she said, do you mean you want a core biopsy? I wasn't sure that I should be the one asking for that if she didn't think it was needed, but when I saw the rheumatologist shortly thereafter, he said, "I wish the dermatologist had done a core biopsy." I had really hoped that the biopsy done near the end of 2024 had been a core biopsy. Was a really strange pattern of growth that did not seem like contact dermatitis.

I have met with Priya twice in 2024. She diagnosed my ailment. Yet during this visit she did not know who I was. Saying happy to meet you. It was obvious she did no prep for my visit. Since I pay out of pocket for my care. My insurance does not cover dermatology. My visit was an emotional disappointment. My feedback is to please do better for your other patients.

PA Parikh was awesome. She listened, was thorough, provided & explained options; once we decided to biopsy two areas, she & her nurse got to it & got it done! Clearly, she is bright, her mind is agile & she seems to have good judgment. Her follow up re biopsy results & next steps has been top rate.

The PA is good at all the items listed above but is also an engaging and thoughtful person in giving advice.
