Dr Soni has the patience of a saint

My appointment was initially for a follow up due to my prolactin levels, but I have been struggling with my weight for a long time now, and I thought that I would be able to gain some insight from the physician that I was seen by yesterday. My original endocrinologist has left the Emory practice and the physician that I saw yesterday was very dismissive. I expressed concern about my weight and thought it was due to my prolactin levels and I was met with a very condescending response Such as an I "just go on a diet and up your water intake." I Felt completely unseen and dismissed. Being an African-American woman in A healthcare environment my needs and concerns should be addressed in a serious manner. I have been a patient of the Emory healthcare system for over five years and have never received such poor care like this.
