About the Provider
Olumuyiwa Joshua, MD is a consultant at Emory University School of Medicine at Midtown and an assistant professor of medicine at Augusta University School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Ogun State University and completed his residency at the John H. Stroger/Rush Medical Center in Chicago where he served as chief resident and attending physician. Dr. Joshua soon after performed a fellowship in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. His areas of clinical expertise and interest include sleep disorders, interventional pulmonology, critical care medicine, lung cancer screening, mycobacterial disease, sarcoidosis and long-term ventilator care.
Dr. Joshua has served as reviewer for multiple hospital vent-weaning guidelines in the metro-Atlanta area. He has also been recognized with several honors and teaching awards. He is a member of the American Thoracic Society, American College of Chest Physicians, Pan African Thoracic Society, European Respiratory Society and American Academy of Sleep Medicine.
