About the Provider

Acceptance, understanding and shared-decision making are key for me to deliver personalized healthcare. My goal is to empower individuals with the confidence to make goals, attain them, stay informed, and seek assistance when needed. My patient population includes adolescents, adults, LGBTQ+, and seniors. I’m well-versed in wellness and preventive strategies of attaining health goals and managing multiple chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and behavioral conditions including anxiety and depression. I’m a proponent of cancer awareness as this is near and dear to my heart. I believe in challenging accepted traditional norms of health management in order to customize personal plans that satisfy short-term and long-term goals and encourage achieving a daily lifestyle of health and satisfaction. I’m passionate about the journey of health being a journey, not an endpoint!
How I stay healthy and happy
To stay healthy, I practice gratitude daily. This sets the stage for my overall interest in eating healthy (without feeling guilty about my love for fries and chocolate) and my regular commitment to exercise and activity. I love to travel! Although I've not yet made it all the way around the world, my travels have included Malaysia, South Africa, Italy, Thailand, Mexico, Alaska, and multiple places in the Caribbean. I enjoy learning from various cultures and expanding my understanding of the world. Traveling has cemented my global perspective on what constitutes a “healthy” outlook on one’s physical and mental state as well as the diverse ways of achieving this while remaining "true to oneself."
