Did not get referral to Dr Eng. Spent 65 min w two different call center ladies trying to make appointment but could not. There was no referral in the system. Only a note that Dr Lowe had messaged Dr Eng. This would not allow either of them to make appointment.

Dr Lowe had not thoroughly explained my condition during the post-op visit a month before nor did he tell me what I might expect during the month until the next check. As a result I had to contact him and his assistant to address immediate concerns (MyChart was useless for this) via email about it and it was still more than 24 hours before I heard back from his assistant.When I tried to discuss this with him and the concern this caused he brushed it off saying that what he saw during my first post-op visit isn't uncommon and that many patients would be overwhelmed and worry needlessly if he was more detailed explanation. We discussed this at length. At no point did he apologize for the distress his actions caused me. I insisted that going forward he give me more details and better explanations for what of what/why I could experience going forward because in situations like mine I probably know what issues might arise let alone questions I might have. He finally acknowledged my concerns and said he would provide more information going forward. He struck me as a bit condescending about all this. I'll be attuned to how he responds at my next visit in a month.

The provider was Dr Margi McKellan. She was very knowledgeable about my history and extremely helpful discussing, explaining and guiding me on short-term and long-term plans. The time she spent with me was remarkable. In the half a year that I have been a patient of Dr. Lowe's I have come to expect personal attention, but this visit was truly outstanding in that regard.
