About the Provider

Meaghan Westenhaver, FNP-C, is a family medicine provider at Emory at Toco Hills.  She was born and raised in Pasadena, California and knew from a very young age she wanted to work in the medical field.  In December 2013, she graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, in Philadelphia, PA.  While there, she also received a double minor in Biological Basis of Behavior and Healthcare Management, from the College of Arts and Sciences and the Wharton Business School, respectively.
After graduating and passing her boards, Meaghan moved to Atlanta, GA in 2015 to work as a registered nurse (RN) at Emory University Hospital (EUH) on a complex medicine unit.  During her time in the hospital, she served in several roles on her unit, including charge nurse, new grad nurse preceptor, and nursing student preceptor.  In addition, while working at EUH, she went back to school and earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from Emory University, with a Family Nurse Practitioner focus, graduating in March 2021.
Meaghan started practicing as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) in Johns Creek, GA in January 2023, and is thrilled to return back to Emory Healthcare as of October 2025 in an FNP role.  She believes every patient deserves a provider that is thorough, attentive, and will work with them individually to achieve their goals.  She cares about her patients as if they are family, and aims to create positive and meaningful healthcare experiences every visit.
While in her graduate program, Meaghan was inducted to the nursing honors society Sigma Theta Tau in November 2019, as well as being nominated for the 2019 Nurse of the Year by both the Atlanta Journal Constitution and March of Dimes.  She is also a member of a number of professional organizations, including the Georgia Nurses Association and American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
In her free time, Meaghan enjoys traveling, seeing friends, and spending time with her dog Sully.
