Dr Schimmel did a great job explaining the CT portion of our discussion, as well as the actual procedure that I need

Doctor was prepared prior to my visit having reviewed imaging and prior medical history. He clearly explained everything including walking me through the imaging. Next steps were also very clear. Doctor was able to glean information from a 2 year old MRI that supplemented more recent imaging to formulate a better plan. A lot of doctors wouldn't have taken the time to review that older MRI.

I appreciate Dr Schimmel's patience and thorough but accessible explanations of various conditions, and his personable engagement and care in answering my questions. He has offered multiple options for my treatment and when I wasn't sure where to start, he suggested most recently a middle-road plan to start.

Very impressed with Dr Schimmel. He extended empathy, listened carefully, and talked WITH me instead of AT me as I have experienced with a few other staff In the past months. He showed concern for my symptoms, carefully explained treatment option and I left feeling that I had made an Informed decision. You need to hold on to him.

First time seeing dr schimmell. He was so kind and took time to answer all questions. He had to tell me about probable lung cancer back and any procedure to treat was very high risk and could leave me worse off. Very honest but gentle with his words in a very tough conversation to hear. My wife wanted to hug him at end of visit for his kindness. We have contacted hospice for quality of life left. Stayed cancer free for 32 years after Initial diagnosis and had a great life.
