Dr. Gongora Nieto is not very patient with me and doesn't take into account my thoughts concerning my treatment. She doesn't display a friendly, caring demeanor and makes me feels as though I don't know what I feel in regard to my body and what I am experiencing. I have asked if we could change some medication because of the side effects that I was dealing with and she rudely stated that she wasn't changing anything. It seems as though even when I follow the instructions she gives me that I never do it right especially if the medication doesn't agree with me or my condition doesn't get any better.

Dr Gongora is always very receptive to my questions. We had a great conversation about lifestyle and decisions on what tests she recommends. She immediately put in orders for my labs and sent renewals on my prescriptions.

Wow, Dr. G (as I called her) is one of the best. She is an incredible doctor; she treats the whole person, not just what is medically wrong. She is clear and concise in her treatment and explanations. She is very thorough and takes her time ensuring that you understand your medical condition and treatment plan.

I have only good things to say about Dr. Nieto (spelling sorry?). I find her knowledgeable, and willing to listen to my requests and concerns.

I learned much more about prior testing and current results. I feel rather foolish about not staying at ST Joe's but appreciate her patience with someone who wasn't taking this seriously.

I had been looking for a cardiologist that I trusted and had been through a few. Doctor was very forthright and candid about my health situation which I appreciated. Have moved my full time cardiac care to her. Since my visit with her have begun a strict regimen to correct previous lifestyle.

Dr Gongora's medical care is very good. She does talk fast and it is sometimes difficult to follow. Her approach is somewhat impersonal. It is difficult to be reminded that I'm "elderly " and have health issues. I know my age but I want to feel better and live longer. I do appreciate that Dr Gongora has followed up with additional testing such 24 hour BP monitor blood tests and Pet MRI to determine my treatment.

Dr. Maria Gongora is great. If I had to make one suggestion, it would simply be to slow her speech down a little when communicating with patients to ensure comprehension. That would be much appreciated. I am able to follow and ask questions, but what the patient who is not quite as astute?

I felt like Dr. Gongora was rushing me while I was there to explain everything that I had been experiencing to where she would cut me off quite a few times. It made my anxiety level rise a little bit. Also, after mentioning about my Aunt passing away & how bad it really affected me the day I went to the ER, she didn't show any type of sympathy or condolences. It was just all on a business level like she didn't care. & it made me feel a little uncomfortable.

I was disappointed in the doctor's lack of interest in me. She seemed to be only interested in getting the appointment done. I felt that her comments to me were pejorative. Again I was disappointed since the doctor had been recommended to me as a kind and accomplished expert in women's heart health.
