I could have been recommended for a SCAN, XRAY for my Facial Pain, instead of going somewhere else. It may have been a communication problem on my part.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Balter and his nursing staff, Ramona. From the moment I walked into his office, I felt genuinely seen and cared for-not just as a patient, but as a whole person. He is incredibly kind, attentive, and thorough. It's clear that he takes the time to truly review patient histories, as he came into our appointment well-informed and ready to address not only my medical concerns, but also the financial barriers related to medication copays and even my overall mental well-being.Dr. Balter's warmth and professionalism immediately put me at ease, and he created a space where I felt heard, respected, and supported. I am so grateful to have found such a compassionate and comprehensive care provider. He and his team have earned my complete trust, and I feel confident knowing that my long-term health is in excellent hands.

Dr. Balter is the most awesome doctor I've met in a long time and I do have 3 other doctors at Emory who are excellent.Dr Balter was such a warm caring person when he came in the room to greet me. I was totally at ease and he was focused on my fall down the escalator and looked at my right leg. He was very thorough in his questions and directions on how to bandage my leg and his directions were easy to understand and do at home so I would understand. He put me at ease and looked at some of my other bruises. What a great , kind, doctor you have at Emory. Very knowledgeable .

Let me tell you about my visit with Dr. Balter. From the moment I met him, I was smitten with his gentle demeanor, starting with his willing to shake my hand. His soft-spokeness gave way to his intent to make you feel at ease immediately. We went over my information. It had been a year since I was last seen, but did he make me feel ashame of that fact? Absolutely not! As a matter of fact, it was like catching up with an old friend!! THAT'S IT!! This is what it the ENTIRE visit was like!! And what's crazy? It was our first time meeting each other!! But I felt like I always knew this wonderful soul!! He was engaging to both me AND my husband. Usually physicians can be a little dismissive to the partner of a same-sex couple, but he was a gentleman throughout. He explained everything to me in a way that I understood immediately not only what he wanted to do, but why's as well. He answered all my questions-even the ones I practically asked several times the same ones, lol! And he showed no signs of annoyance. The guy was just amazing, but the best was yet to come. After we got home, later on that day, Dr. B called me at home to discuss the results of my blood tests. Although it was all good news, how many times in the past did I have to wait until the next visit to hear of any bad news?? This doctor called me the same day, and I was very thankful for it. But his awesomeness was STILL yet to come! I had just found out that one of my medications was on back order at a pharmacy I was not happy about this, to say the least. Dr. Balter called me AGAIN to let me know that he had personally not only called the pharmacy and spoke with the pharmacist, but he was able to submit an alternative so that I wouldn't have to be without!!! I couldn't believe it!!! This human being went up and beyond for lil ole me, and I am so bloody grateful I am currently fighting multiple myeloma cancer, and I have no idea how that's gonna end up going in the end, but the ONE thing I won't have to worry about is my internal care. I know Dr. Balter (Dr. B! Lol) has my back. Thank you Emory! Look at you guys go!!! :)

Dr. Balter is one of the kindest, most compassionate doctors that I've ever had the pleasure of being treated by. He seems genuinely concerned about my care and treatment.

Dr. Balter is truly the best. I have seen many providers over the years but none have had the combination of expertise, empathy, and professionalism he has. I trust him implicitly, and that is not something I've ever said about a physician in this area. My thanks to him and the team there. Extraordinary.
