Besides feeling rushed, provider told me to contact my GP for further follow up and she would no longer be seeing me for LPR. I asked for and received a referral to an ENT doctor to check my stomach condition related to my LPR. I did not hear from the referral line people so I called. First appointment available is more than 2 months away for either of the 2 Emory locations near me. Frankly, I feel a somewhat "abandoned".

It was such a blessing to see this provider. She is so caring and very competent. For the first time since my possible cancer diagnosis, I feel someone will finally see my case through until clear answers are provided. She is a 10 of 10!!!

My interactions with NP Laila Kutan and Dr. Azeem Kaka were excellent. Both provided clear explanations and answered every question patiently. Laila was approachable and thorough, always taking the time to listen and respond thoughtfully. Dr. Kaka combined professionalism with compassion, giving me confidence. Together, they created a supportive environment where I felt respected, cared for, and fully informed. This last visit was especially meaningful because it marked the end of my regular treatment plan. I was able to ring the bell, a tradition that celebrates being declared cancer free. The staff and facility made the journey not only manageable but uplifting, and I am deeply grateful for the care, compassion, and encouragement I received along the way. Knowing that I won't have another regular appointment for a year is both freeing and humbling, and I will always remember the support that brought me to this moment.

Reported Concerns about initial expectations of healing of 2 months and then that it only had a 25% chance of healing early and now 35% and he tried to reason after the fact with actual difficulty He presented options of further bone filing as possibly to heal over exposed bone; also talked about larger risk of flap success based on ORN. Likely to be discussed in may visit

- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 9/14/2024
She was the one who kick started the urgency of my situation. She recognized the need for immediate intervention and took the steps necessary to have me see the doctor that same day vs. Scheduling for another day. This resulted in me getting surgery authorized and completed in 6 days. Thank you!!

- 4 out of 5 starsReviewed on 8/1/2024
She calmed me down and settled my fears and I walked out of the CAT scan yesterday feeling that this is a real big issue or something that warrants a biopsy right away but all if that's not the case, you all need to communicate with me ASAP as to what the situation is in your opinion!

She did a great job at answering my questions. Even with my frustrations she was assuring and very professional.

This pains me to say this but Laila Nurani Kutan, NP has been the only provider at Emory Winship Midtown that I am not pleased with. I feel she lacks empathy and has a condescending attitude during patient interaction. For example, she instructed me on how to care for my skin graft and then proceeded to question me at a subsequent visit as to why I followed that advice? I had some necrotic tissue that needed to be removed. Without any explanation, she simply picked up a pair of bandage scissors and began cutting into my wound. No local anesthetic was provided. I am in my fifth week of radiation and I have been driving myself to treatment. I happened to be 45 minutes late for an 8:45 appointment and she did not enter the exam room until nearly 11 a.m. Disheveled in her appearance asking why I was late! She operates under a veil of Inauthentic caring that is evident to me. Hopefully, I will not have to see her much longer. If I could request an alternate Nurse Practitioner, I would.

All concerns addressed patiently And professionally
- 3 out of 5 starsReviewed on 4/23/2024
The NP Laila Kutan yawned FIVE and MORE times during my 15 minute appointment. I tried to take it as my case was boring and simple which is great for me but I still think Ms. Kutan needs to work on her bedside manners. It is extremely rude to yawn while speaking to anyone leave alone your patient.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 4/17/2024
The doctor was very knowledgeable and how to proceed with my medical treatment. She showed a caring and concerned heart for what my feelings were at the time.
