Dr. Ferenchak is an excellent ophthalmologist. Since both my father and my husband were ophthalmologists, my standards are very high.

The doctors (1 fellow who captured info initially and 1 fully trained specialist who spent the most time with me) were very thorough and helpful, collecting and conveying information in detail in a way I could understand. The main doctor was very patient with my questions and grief reaction to some negative health news he was confirming (he was a second opinion for me, to be sure there was truly nothing else I could do about recently impaired vision). I was hoping for a different answer from this visit, but his kind, informative candor was the best I could hope for when being given bad news. I appreciated his depth of explanation and honesty, while still being compassionate. Would highly recommend this doctor to anyone.

While there are no effective treatments for my AMD, Dr. Ferenchak has always been most informative about the course of sight loss and is always up to date on research into my problem. He referred me to a "low vision" specialist for possible assistance in reading and computer glasses prescriptions.

Dr. Ferenchak is a wonderfil, caring physician, especially considering how painful the thought is of a needle being injected into one's eye. Dr. Ferenchak is very good at explaining the procedure.

I very much appreciate Dr. Ferenchak's helpand hard work. However, he seems to be in the same boat as the whole clinic - pressed to see many patients in a short time. Efficiency in healthcare is good, but it can be taken too far.

The doctor spoke directly to my daughter during the visit. He spoke calmly, clearly, and did not over complicate or over simplify his explanations. He took time to explain and answer her questions. We walked away with far less questions and an overall better understanding of her disease process.

He did not take the time to talk to me about making a change to my injection medication due to increase in cost to a new med. I had called weeks earlier for someone to talk to him about it before this appointment. I mentioned my concern to the staff nurse when I arrived to make sure my meds for this appointment were back to the old med and she was the one that mentioned it was. He came in and had an attitude, maybe because he was late, and lectured me about my condition instead for which I told him I was managing it with another doctor who has told me that I am. Based on today's visit I may consider other options and doctors for my eye care. I have never had a bad experience with the ophthalmologists here until recently.

No one could direct me to anyone to express concerns that Building B is not labeled; the facility was so overbooked that appointments were delayed, traffic could not get through the stoplight by the building for numerous light changes, no parking was available, no place was available to leave the car for valet parking; staff took delays as a planned operating procedure with no regard for patient needs.
