Dr Mautner is excellent and I refer all my friends to him who also say great things.

The doctor did a fantastic job of explaining everything and answering questions.

Dr Mautner has a wonderful way of explaining medical issues in layman's terminology. He listens with "both ears," ensures I understand the test results, provides available options for resolution, confirmed my understanding, and allows time for my questions feedback decision.

As per my response above, everything was exceptional. My only complaint is that they kept calling me sir. Kinda reminded me that I'm 76. I'm in denial about that. I prefer 38 x 2. Again, the service was very very good!

I was referred to Dr. Mautner by my PT. I wrote to her immediately following my visit to express my thanks for such a good recommendation. EVERYONE in that office was efficient.

His expertise was on full display. Fast, explained as he worked, and was very compassionate and confident.

My doctor explained his findings, discussed my options and listened to my thoughts and concerns. He gave me options regarding my treatment plan and made me feel a part of the decision process.

Great Experience

Dr. Mauntner seemed to be in a hurry, and lacked consideration for my questions and concerns as an individual patient. I believe he had reviewed my images, but he was not engaged with me beyond giving me pamphlets to read and telling me that he had done PRP injections many times.PRP injections are a new consideration for me with both of my thumbs, and I had questions about the procedure and the potential outcomes. I do not feel that my questions were adequately addressed, or that appropriate time was allocated for my visit. My visit was a new patient consultation for a new procedure option that should involve more than a cursory response to limited questions and the provision of reading materials by Dr. Mauntner.

I would mention to whomever I referred Dr. Mauntner that the waiting time to get in to see him is excessive.

Dr. Mautner is great, I've seen him off and on for about 4 years now. Always friendly, personal and professional, great "bedside manner" in the exam room. Always explains things well and explains things well and is happy to answer questions and joint decision making. I've referred a few people to him and they have all been very happy.

Dr Mautner is amazing. I've been to see him several times. My husband has also seen him and we've always referred patients directly to him.

Dr. Kenneth Mautner is THE VERY BEST Sports Medicine Orthopedist in my opinion at Emory Sports Medicine and I am so glad that he is my MD and oversees me care with genuine concern for me as I mature at (77) years old after being his patient since I was (66) years old. I could not be in better hands when it comes to a Sports Medicine Orthopedist who is at the top of his game.

I was hoping for an injection of Gel One. However, I was told insurance will only pay for Gel One injection for the knee, not the ankle. I was not aware of this. Dr. Mautner discussed a steroid injection but advised me of possible downsides to steroid injections. I was aware of the downside and really did not want that. Dr. Mautner then discussed PSP injection. He said I am a candidate for that.

I had the worse experience with the main doctor the attending. The residents were great, but I will not use or recommend him to anyone ever again!

I had an outstanding experience with Dr. Mautner. He was incredibly caring and extremely knowledgeable. His bedside manner was excellent-he took the time to listen, explain everything clearly, and made me feel at ease even though I was in a lot of pain. He immediately understood what was wrong and handled the situation with skill and confidence. Thanks to him, the issue was resolved quickly and effectively, and I haven't had any problems since. I was nervous going into the visit because I am a dancer and have different injuries than many other athletes, but I immediately felt better when I saw a signed photo from a professional dancer. Dr. Mautner was extremely knowledgable about the hip problems dancers face, and the dance PTs in the area. He gave me scripts so I could see my dance PT to develop an overall plan, but then also to see the Emory PT staff afterwards to save on out of network costs. I would highly recommend him to any active person!
