I scheduled my visit so that I could get answers to a medical issue. But she didn't evaluate me. She listened to my questions. She answered some generally. There was past blood work she could have referenced, but she didn't. And she prescribed ibuprofen. I asked for blood work. She didn't think I needed it. I have no idea why I was having pain. She just wanted to give me ibuprofen although I am currently taking medication that interacts with ibuprofen. I don't even think she looked at my medication list to be sure I could have ibuprofen.

Dr Woods made me feel so comfortable by talking me through every step of he process in terms that I could understand. She seemed to genuinely care about the problems that I was experiencing.

I can not say enough about Dr. Woods. I have never had a better experience with any doctor. Despite the fact that I only made the appointment 45 minutes before I saw her, she had taken the time to read my files and new about my past ablation and details of an ultrasound I had a few years ago. That has never happened with any other doctor. Furthermore, her explanation of what was happening, her reassurance that everything was probably fine, and her thorough explanation of next steps was exceptional! Finally, her calming presence and voice put my mind at ease completely which is not easy to do. This was absolutely the best experience I have had with any doctor.

Very transparent, detailed, gives options/scenarios and solutions so together we as a patient doctor team can make wise/informed decisions for treatment. I love the explanation she gave while drawing the diagram to give me a realistic visual to her words! Very ice/helpful and it made all the information click! I was nervous because I have never been seen by another OBGYN regularly since 17. Thank you for making this a great transition from my original OBGYN since I was 17 years old (now 50 years old). You made change easy and less stressful.

I had honestly never had an experience with the OB offices at any of the locations that was as memorable as this visit was. Doctor Woods took the time to focus on my needs, and she listened to what I had to say, and did not invalidate what I was feeling. She went into details about how to help. She understood the anxiety that I was feeling with the diagnosis of my child having T21 And the anxiety that I felt due to multiple losses and hardships. She heard me and worked with me to create a plan that would best suit me. By far the best physician that I've dealt with in the OB world. I feel very lucky to have found her and she made sure that I'm able to see her and get my appointments with her to continue to feel that positive connection.

The fact that Dr. Woods understood that going ahead and doing the biopsy at the first appointment would help to find out what was going on, and therefore what needed to be done, meant the world to me. I definitely felt heard and understood. And during the test she told me at each point what I might be feeling so I could be prepared. That was very helpful also.

The doctor explained things thoroughly which I appreciated. But when I wanted to talk more deeply about some of my concerns upon reflecting my last delivery at Emory, the doctor cut me off multiple times and spoke over me and interrupted. She did not want to hear what I had to say or listen to my concerns. She just wanted to hear herself talk. It was pretty disappointing. I just wanted to feel heard and I did not.

Overall Dr. Wood was nice and senstive to our miscarriage but she relayed D&C option came with absolutely no risk to future pregnancies and that is not true -although the risk is small it is there and I'd appreciate to be informed to make my own calculated decision.
