Julia Fayez Massaad, MD

Dr Massaad was new to me. I have several issues and she was incredibly supportive, listening and responding to questions. She has a plan for my care and I'm grateful to have found such a caring doctor.

Dr. Masaad is an excellent provider. She was very efficient and well-prepared for my visit, having reviewed my records in advance. She explained my condition and treatment plan clearly and in detail, and she is also very personable. I had a great experience and would highly recommend her to my husband and others.

Julia Massaad was very well prepared when she walked in. She had was familiar with my history and clearly was prepared before coming in. It was an impressive experience. She asked on target questions, explained her diagnosis and concise next steps. I told my wife she should switch her doctor to Julia Massaad too.

Dr. Massaad is an amazing physician. She explained my MRI results clearly and quickly and got input from my kidney team the same day. I am so grateful for her.

She did not show any warmth, caring, concern, or empathy toward my constant pain or options. I know those are things that are outdated now, but did not feel good to a senior who was used to more warmth and caring from medical people.

Dr. Massaad is an excellent care provider. The first person to ever question my long-term medication and suggest trying to taper it off instead of being dependent on it forever. I am medication free now without any issues and have her to thank for it.

I saw two other doctors and dealt with symptoms for almost a year before I saw Dr. Massaad for this issue - within twenty minutes of meeting her I had a diagnosis and a treatment plan. She explained very clearly what my diagnosis was and why she believed that was the case. She went over treatment options and gave me an idea of how managing my condition would look in the future. I really appreciate the level of care I received.

Good experience

I did not have a good experience with Dr. Massadd. I could tell she didn't believe me when I told her my appetite issues because I am a heavier weight. She was skeptical about diagnoses from prior GI doctors. She basically stated that she was willing to do one study with me and if that yielded no results I would have to accept that I am going to be chronically nauseous and vomit for the rest of my life.

I appreciate her upbeat attitude and explanation of the steps we'll have to go through.

Dr. MASSAAD is a credit to Emory! She is everything I would wish for in a doctor: she listens, she is patient, she is clear, and she inspires confidence. She has proven herself to be a skilled physician, as well, in the care she has previously given my mother. I am delighted with her in every way.

Dr. Massaad is professional and knowledgeable. That being said she comes across cold, aloof and remote. I always feel sad and alone after my appt. She seems to be trying to be trying to be attentive but it doesn't seem to be sincere or she just doesn't like patient care.

Dr.Masaud was so was so kind with my husband who has late midstage Alzheimer's. She spoke directly to him and that is not always the case. I'm gratefull she is his physician.
