I have asthma, allergies, eczema and aniridia, so I was in a doctor’s office all the time growing up. I wanted to be able to help others, like I had been helped. I chose family medicine for the diversity – the ability to care for patients of different ages and with different medical problems.

I appreciate the differences in cultures and I am able to connect with patients who have different physical, mental and spiritual concerns. Patients have taught me a great deal about the U.S. healthcare system and their experiences.



“I feel that every patient encounter is an opportunity to teach and to provide preventive healthcare. Most importantly, I enjoy that every patient brings something different. I see a variety of ages, from ‘itty-bitties’ or infants to senior citizens who sometimes have a more active personal life than I do. And I always treat my patients as I would my own family.”
