Again I felt like I bonded with my doctor. I felt heard. I am now confident I am in the right place and will receive the best possible care and treatment available in the world. My biggest fear was making a mistake choosing a surgeon and later having regrets. I don't feel afraid anymore. I know I made a good choice and I feel blessed that I found Dr Sweeney and that he will perform my surgery.

Not sure if anyone looks forward to having surgery, but I have to admit my surgery was a smooth process and recovery has been painless.

The chief resident was wonderful & De Sweeney was LOVELY! Took the time to discuss my recovery thoroughly, examined the site throughly & seemed very genuinely pleased at how quickly I was recovering. He even took time to complete work forms. While I never want to have an unplanned surgery again, I would recommend Dr Sweeney & his team to everyone.

In my 80 years of using physicians Dr Sweeney would rank number one.My overall ranking of my visit, if possible,Would have been 6 or 7. I can not think ofA single thing , during my visit, that could have been any better than what I experienced. I feel very confident that Dr Sweeney is the person to performAny surgery that my conditions prove to be necessary.Thank you Dr Sweeney for seeing me .

My appendix busted over a year ago. I was hospitalized at another competitor and was terrified for surgery. After the initial appt. At Emory and the care I received my anxieties are gone and I know and have faith the staff will care for me properly!! Thank you

Dr Sweeney is the best!

While I liked the doctor and my visit, in hindsight, I would have preferred to have been shown during my exam a hands-on demonstration of "how" to slide (reduce) my inguinal hernia myself instead of having to ask via on MyChart after my visit and then told by the RN to search on Google for such instructions. This does not exemplify quality healthcare. I am disappointed.

I usually brace when thinking about seeing a new doctor. It's usually an unpleasant experience where I feel rushed and almost seen as an inconvenience. I could but have been more wrong about Dr Sweeny. He is extraordinarily kind, graceful and incredibly intuitive. He has a sense of humor and the way he treated his staff (with respect and kindness) shows that his character as a caring physician with a high emotional intelligence quotient. The cherry on the cake was that he Is very knowledgeable and cared to actually READ my health history before seeing me. It's truly remarkable. His student was equally as kind- attentive, inquisitive and kind beyond words. For the first time in a long time I feel like someone is listening to me. The cherry on the cake was when Dr Sweeny actually walked me to his assistant HIMSELF to see if I can get an appointment before I started summer travel! Just magnificent.
