As a 39 year old who hadn't had a PCP in over 20 years, I was naturally nervous about establishing care with someone new. Thankfully, Dr. Simmons was incredible. She was thorough with my medical history review, she answered questions in a manner I was able to understand, and she made recommendations for blood work and some medication adjustments to help me with my symptoms and to find out the root cause of my rapid weight gain. She went above and beyond the general standard of care, and I am confident that I will continue to receive that quality of care as Dr. Simmons' patient. I am highly impressed and very thankful I found her!

Much interest and concern was shown, however apparently the action needed ( a refill on RX ) was handed over to someone else to follow up on, and then it was dropped. I had to go back to request again the refill .

My provider was excellent; took time to listen and heard me. She was very concerned about my situation and offered solutions. Nurse Simmons is the reason I choose Emory. I believe I was given Good information. I am always a little nervous and hesitant when I am seen by a physicians assistant or a nurse practitioner. Instead of my doctor I felt I needed to have an adjustment in my medication and that was accomplished everything I said, and my concerns and Congratulated and encouraged me On my weight loss. I know the PA was very busy and my primary purpose was paperwork but it's hard to feel cared for when there's no eye contact and brief covets but no actual discussion of what's being filled out. Despite that, incredibly nice and would probably consider seeing this provider again for something else.

Jennilyn is nice, but not very warm nor engaging. She didn't seem to care to get to know me at all. She didn't ask any personal or family questions.

I believe that the NP was skilled and competent in her care. Initially she told me she was sending me for an Ultrasound to study the area in question. However, she changed her mind and ordered a STAT CT, saying that it would provide more information. As it turned out, my Aetna Medicare Supplement denied coverage for that service (which I did not learn until after service delivered) because the CMS guidelines prohibit having a CT without first having an Ultrasound. I do not think I should liable for this payment because, as a consumer, I am not familiar with all of the CMS rules and regulations.

Trying to come into facility was hard in wheel chair , chairs were in the way lousy set up.
