I have seen Dr. Patel several times over the past year. He is always pleasant and seems concerned. But he (or his office) is not good about following up. I saw him this time because of an issue I had after a procedure. I was instructed to contact the office in about two weeks after the procedure. About a week afterward, I contacted the office through MyChart because of a concern. I received a reply and was told that sometimes things get worse before they get better. (I was not told this initially.) Even after that, they did not do a follow up. I sent a second note later and they had me come into the office. We had a brief discussion and determined the Issue was not serious. And so I am waiting to see if things feel better. But I found it odd that they have not done follow ups on their own. The surgical center where I had the procedure called me the next day. They said I would hear from the doctor's office with in a day or two. I did not. (This is not the first time I have felt there should have been more follow up from this office.)

Dr. Patel was really great. He listened to my concerns and I felt like he knew exactly what I was talking about with my injury which gave me confidence he knew what to do to help. I didn't feel rushed and he gave me options for my treatment.

He was on a tight schedule and didnt have many options gor injections in this clinic

Doctor Patel is excellent and very caring about my condition. I would gladly recommend him to others.

Dr. Patel explained my MRI diagnosis in ways I understood. He factored personal concerns into determining the timing of the next steps of treatment but explained the pros and cons of immediate versus delayed treatment.

Even though I didn't get the answer I wanted, he fully explained why the procedure was not a good idea for me.

Dr Yoon directed me to Dr. Patel. A good experience but no discussion of a treatment. Guess I'm done with Emory/back problems-no future direction
