Jawad Shahid, MD

Jawad Shahid received a Doctor of Medicine Degree from Stony Brook University, School of Medicine in 2014. Dr. Shahid completed his/her residency in Emergency Medicine at Stony Brook University in 2017, where he was Academic Chief Resident. In addition, he was awarded “Outstanding Teaching Resident of the Year,” by Stony Brook Emergency Medicine in 2017. Currently, Dr. Shahid held the position of Emergency Medicine Attending Physician at NYU Winthrop Hospital, where he was co-Clerkship Director in EM Medical Student Clinical Educational rotations. Dr. Shahid’s primary clinical/scholarly focus is Emergency Medicine particularly in the area of residency and education. His articles have been published in a number of leading journals including EB Emergency Medicine Practice.
