Jane Ellis, MD, is a specialist in maternal-fetal medicine at Emory Healthcare. Her research interests include various aspects of pregnancy and childbirth such as the use of ultrasound to detect fetal anomalies and growth abnormalities, infectious diseases and emerging pathogens during pregnancy, HIV and its impact on perinatal outcomes, cellular signaling and activation of HIV replication, autoimmune mechanisms in peripartum cardiomyopathy, placental physiology and pathology, maternal morbidity and mortality, patient safety, quality initiatives and the impact of legislation on maternal and child health.
