Nobody does it better than Dr. Mackelfresh.

Once again, if Excellent was an option, that would be my selection. Shame on me for not providing feedback previously regarding the care I receive from Dr. MacKelfresh. She has been my dermatologist for at least 5 years. I am extremely grateful for her knowledge, compassion, communication, proactivity, patience and thoroughness. She's also an outstanding listener. I feel fortunate to have her as my doctor.

Dr. MacKelfresh took care of an issue I was having (persistent Keratosis which she removed) and the usual other skin things (e.g., more keratosis patches which she froze to death).

Very good will never be a sufficient description of Dr MacElfresh!! She needs words like outstanding or incredible. She is a physician in the truest sense of the word. Professional, compassionate, a wonderful diagnostician, an excellent listener without having her head buried in her computer during my visit!! Never let her go!!!!!!!

Dr. MacKelfresh was thorough in asking me relevant questions about what had changed health-wise since my last visit with her, as well as explaining to me why she could not give me a higher dose of Minoxidil in spite of my losing so much hair. She said she would be concerned over any adverse health effects. Dr. MacKelfresh showed an interest in my overall health and not just my thinning hair. I thank her for that.

That moment changed my life and I knew that I was finally in good hands. She helped me through and continues to treat me for my condition. I have learned that few doctors treat hair disorders because there is not a quick fix. I believe she has accepted the challenge and she has not given up on us. I could go on and on, but I won't. All that I can say is that she has become an angel in my life

I thought both the medical student and the medical provider spent ample time with me making sure they understood why I was presenting, diagnosing my issue, and talking through a treatment plan. Their concern for my well-being was well conveyed and I feel like I was given the space to ask any questions I had.

Dr. Mackelfresh is excellent. She provides gentle and thoughtful care, and carefully explains options for treatment. My only concern is that the clinic seems to have a high patient load and time with the primary doctor (not the resident) is brief, limiting in-depth discussion of medical issues.

Prior to this appt, I only had immediate care, Infection prevention type instructions for how to care for my cold temp thermal burn. Dr. Mackelfresh gave me reassurance, understanding of what was happening along the process in my skin, and what to expect in the days, weeks, and months to come not only to prevent infection, but to minimize scarring. And even what steps were available to help further if scarring did not sufficiently resolve with initial management. Very grateful to be her patient, as this was my first time meeting her following my former dermatologist's departure from Emory.

Dr Macklefresh was recommended to me by my dermatologist to see about hairloss. She listened to all my concerns with care. And has given me lots of information about other treatments to use if I'm unhappy about the treatment she recommended for me at this time.

MD discussed that I still might experience benefits from current treatment over next few months. Answered question about what percentage of patients see positive benefits. MD then provided info about what alternative treatments are still possible and the likelihood of benefits from those benefits

I wish there was an option for excellent versus very good because that's what I would choose. I've been seeing Dr. Mackelfresh for a number of years now and I'm not sure if I've taken the time to review her previously but she has deserved the highest praise each time. She is a superb listener. She is thorough, not concluding a visit before having answered all questions. And an exceptionally clear communicator. She is also kind and patient. I have told her on more than one occasion that I wished all my doctors followed in her footsteps.

Would however be hesitant in recommending Emory dermatology because it takes forever to get an appointment.

Because MD has decided to work few days and one long day and I had to move around and reschedule my appointment work etc And felt rushed for pm appt 440 pm appt Response was when I voiced concern I can use other community doctors Are you retaining Emory business or exporting out :( Sad

On par with Dr. Sally West who was my primary care physician from 1984 until her recent retirement, Dr. Jamie B. MacKelfresh is an exceptional physician!
