I found Dr. V to be easy to talk with, patient with me, and willing to reach out to other departments in order to make it possible for me to get the appropriate genetic testing.

None of the above questions really apply. But she was excellent so I rated everything as very good. She took my history and was very caring.

His plan of action was easy to understand. He is extremely knowledgeable but put it in layman's terms to make it understandable.

Great in depth explanation with every detail explained. Quite reassuring.

Dr. V explained everything to us and actually sat with us for almost 30 minutes to talk and having been to many appointments with other doctors, this is unusual and very much appreciated.

Quality medical care is all about the healthcare team. I would not consider getting my healthcare in Atlanta anywhere but Emory.

They were very informative about my specific issue.

This was an excellent experience! My first experience in 2021 with the vascular Surgery practice at Saint Joe's was a disaster. This experience was beyond excellent and exceeded my expectations

My provider was thorough but he didn't have the best bedside manner.

Dr. Jaime Vengoechea is excellent at explaining the process and reviewing the available treatment options in the market. I always leave my appointment feeling very informed about my care.

At the initial appointment I was told genetic testing rarely finds anything so don't be surprised if the follow up was a simple phone call telling me the test didn't find a genetic issue. Instead I received a call that I gas to come in to get my results, worried about it for a month, got there and was told the test didn't find anything of significance.

We appreciated the doctor's thoroughness and ability to converse with us in our preferred Spanish language.

Dr Vengochea is very skilled. Sometimes I don't think he's listening to me quite as much, but I nonetheless feel lucky. He is my physician for Pompe matters.

It wasn't really "care". More of consultation. He provided nothing. Didn't even look away from polishing his glasses. Dismissed my request for a diagnosis.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 3/8/2024
I went to a neurologist at Piedmont for several years and even went to John's Hopkins in Baltimore twice, and was misdiagnosed. Within 20 minutes of being at Emory, Dr. Kesner diagnosed me differently, and this was proven to be correct via genetic test.
- 5 out of 5 starsReviewed on 12/9/2023
I felt to care of the providers both the doctor clinician both took was very good. There is no further treatment since this issue was fairly rare and there is no treatment plan.

This whole team was attentive, patient, calm, and reassuring.

Both genetic counselor and Dr. Barrios were knowledgeable, had good bedside manner, and extremely competent. I left feeling very heard, which is something I find less and less at some doctors, and also they took the information my Dad and I gave them and were able to take from it what mattered and then ask their own questions or exams. I've been to quite a few appointments in the past few years, this office blew me away.

Dr V was extremely knowledgeable and well prepared for the appointment. He had already reviewed my chart and was familiar with details about from 10+ years ago. I appreciate the extra effort he took to be ready to talk with me when he walked into the room.

Was a very good visit with Dr and genetic counselor.
- 4 out of 5 starsReviewed on 8/4/2023
I'm 19 y/o and the Dr. Rattled off a whole bunch of other test I would need and places tumors could grow. It freaked me out a bit. It seemed like he just had a bunch of stuff to say but didn't look up to see my reaction.
- 4 out of 5 starsReviewed on 5/18/2023
Dr V is not the warm fuzzy type, but is very competent
