It was efficient though it would have been nice for someone to ask us if we had any after care questions. We did and we sent a message over MyChart.

Dr. Hoff consistently involves us in all care decisions and always seeks our informed consent before proceeding with any treatments or recommendations. While I rated this as "good," I want to emphasize that patient involvement in medical decision-making should be the standard of care, not an exceptional practice. Informed consent and shared decision-making are fundamental patient rights, and I'm concerned that framing this as a provider "effort" rather than a basic expectation may normalize situations where patients are not fully included in their own care decisions.Dr. Hoff exemplifies best practices in this area by always explaining options thoroughly, respecting our autonomy, and ensuring we understand and agree to any proposed treatments.
