When making my appointment I explained what I needed an appointment for and the rep put my appointment in as procedure with an annual exam so everyone was confused as to why I was coming in. After I explained it to the Dr he understood and explain the process to me and make sure I understood everything.

The BEST gynecological experience by far. Doc was informed, thorough, met me at my level of knowledge, spoke to me at my level and was thoroughly reassuring in both content of what he shared and how he shared it. I live closer to other Emory Women's Clinic locations but will be driving back here for all future appointments.

The PA and doctor took the time to explain things and listen to my concerns. They were very personable.

I would recommend Dr. Southern to anyone! It is so nice to go to an appointment and not have to deal with misogyny from your doctor. He is incredibly professional, and also very personable and easy to talk to. The procedure I had made me feel very vulnerable and anxious. He made sure I was OK with a NP-in-training being in the room without making me feel pressured to say yes. He also explained every step of the procedure as he was doing it and everyone in the room even told (horrible) dad jokes when I asked them to distract me. The care I was provided is what every person should have when they sees a gynecologist.

The provider showed no empathy or compassion when I explained about my labor and delivery that I recently had. I explained that I was listed as having gestational hypertension, but I felt as if that was incorrect as my blood pressure went up because I did not have any medication in my epidural bag during the pushing part and I was in indescribable pain. I said that can cause someone's blood pressure to spike from the pain and he coldly said "not that high". And that was literally it. He showed no concern or care about what I said. It was as if he wanted me to just stop talking. As if he was agitated with my presence. He also bluntly refused to do a Pap test for me although I requested one more than once. He said he wasn't going to do it because I had one in 2023, 2 years ago. So, now I'm rescheduling another appointment for the Pap test and taking more time off of work because he refused to give me one.

My one on one conversation with Dr Southern was very helpful! I had a clear understanding of how he explained my issue to me.

Mostly provider didn't gave me what to do to my problem, they just recommend or always refer to someone and keep check up and sent result without explanation and meaning of the result and still not resolve the problem
