Love Dr. Carlson! Fr9m my 1sr visit, I knew he was the surgeon for me! Great personality, so kind caring, and truly explains things and makes ypu feel comfortable and at ease.

Dr Carlson felt extremely dismissive of my concerns and questions - at times it almost felt like he was mocking my worries. Did not appreciate many of the comments he tried to make in jest or making me feel like I was rushing my health choices. To tell me a friend of a friend receiving a breast cancer diagnosis was "just anecdotal" and not a reason to worry was so rude. He may be good at what he does, but would not recommend to anyone I know in a similar situation.

Dr. Carlson is unique and truly an excellent doctor. He listens, cares and comes up with a plan to meet your needs. His bedside manner is incredible. He included my husband in on the process. I genuinely felt his care and compassion. I feel blessed to have him as my reconstruction doctor!

Dr. Carlson explained very clearly what surgery might look like. I was nervous about talking with him but he was actually very comforting. I felt so blessed to be able to discuss my diagnosis with him because I believe in his expertise.

Dr. Carlson is a fantastic surgeon -- I can't even see any scars after my surgeries! Dr. Carlson is also wonderful at explaining what is going on with your problem and what he will do to resolve it. He is also great with follow-up care. I am very fortunate to have Dr. Carlson as my surgeon!

Overall, I was very pleased with my appointment. I felt heard and cared for. All of the information shared was perfect in every way - thorough, caring, helpful, etc. I just felt like the discussion was fast and I needed a little bit more processing time. That said, I am still very pleased with me experience.

Dr. Carlson has always been very positive and honest as well as professional. He took the time to illustrate on paper and explain orally while illustrating exactly where my cancer was located in my breast. How the removal of the cancer area would be done and why was shared also. He showed examples of how I could get nipples on my breast and tattoos of nipples. He has from day one been an exemplary physician and surgeon. He has an impeccable sense of humor and bedside manner.
