Dr. Chang it's so super knowledgeable on quite a bit of medical procedures. Most of them relate back to the heart so that's an understanding. But he's very good at explaining things and very pleasant to have as a doctor.

Dr Chang is my favorite doctor! He takes the time to explain everything and consults with me, treating me with respect and dignity. Rare to find such a caring Dr these days.

I've seen Dr Chang for 20 years and he is wonderful. He listens to my questions and concerns and works confine best options for me.

Dr. George Chang exudes excellence. Through his care over the years, he has certainly prevented me from having a heart attack, and probably made it possible for me to live long enough to someday meet my (not yet existent) grandchildren. I am deeply grateful for him.

In my personal opinion, I am inclined to believe that Dr. Chang doesn't fully disclose patient's condition, prognosis, options, explanations, and outlook. This would include that it was only learned from reading the After Visit Summary that I am a CLASS 3 HEART FAILURE patient. Was not informed of this during discussion. Rather disturbing to research what the condition of a CLASS 3 HEART FAILURE consists of.Additionally, Dr. Chang informed me several times that should I continue to experience shortness of breath (SOB) from the blood clot that was discovered in the right lower lung in May, 2025 at Emory Hospital (Inpatient), despite being admitted and placed on Heparin and subsequently ELIQUIS thereafter, another new look at the arteries via camera through the groin would be done. This would be done to ascertain if any new blockages were evident and/or previous hear stent approximately 15 years ago was stable.However, when I asked Dr. Chang regarding proceeding with this procedure since I was still experiencing various degrees of SOB, he replied "no" with no further explanation.I find his decision premature and should be done. Additionally, the cardiologist during my stay at Emory Hospital stated that since it's been approximately 15 years of the prior procedure, a newer one was warranted to ensure no new blockages, conditions, and prior stent were stable/present.In conclusion, I have been seeing Dr. Chang for over 17 years, and find that he is a good cardiac doctor, but tends to lack communication skills to patient (full disclosure, changes his mind) w/o explaining to patient.At this point, I feel I've been "written-off" as my condition has worsened, so there is no need to do the aforementioned study and/or look into other options, to include what I am to expect. No classes on heart failure which would be beneficial to patients.Therefore, my overall impression with Emory Cardiac Department has decreased, which is disappointing.

Dr. Chang is a very important doctor in my families lives. He speaks in terms that are easy to understand and allows us to question his treatment.

There is plan of action for a concern during visit.

I have been seeing Dr Chang for many years. He always spends time and goes over my lab work(sent to him by my Primary Care Dr.) And how it may affect my heart and overall health. He spends time and makes me feel well cared for.

Dr. George Chang was the cardiologist who saved my life back in November of 2018, and continues to provide me with the highest quality medical care.
