About the Provider

Dr. Gautam Kumar is an interventional cardiologist and echocardiographer based predominantly at the Atlanta VA Medical Center. Originally from Singapore, he came to the US after completing membership in the Royal College of Physicians in the United Kingdom and did Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. Following this, he completed Interventional Cardiology fellowship at Emory University. He has wide-ranging interests from clinical hemodynamics (both invasive and non-invasive), coronary and peripheral intervention, valvular and structural heart disease interventions, biomedical innovation and research and medical ethics. He is also actively involved with the interventional cardiology program at Emory University Hospital Midtown and is an integral part of the newly developed STEMI program at Grady Memorial Hospital.
