About the Provider

Dr. Tong is jointly appointed in the Departments of Radiology and Neurosurgery and specializes in interventional neuroradiology. He has a background in electrical engineering and a special interest in applying new techniques and technologies to clinical patient care. He is a past recipient of the American Society of Neuroradiology Research Foundation Grant and his research is concentrated on experimental stroke modeling and development of new computational models for understanding and developing new therapies for cerebrovascular disease.

Both the resident and Dr Tong were excellent - they were attentive to my concerns and took the time to talk through my diagnosis and treatment options in understandable terms, but also without over simplifying. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had with a specialist.

Dr. Tong was thorough and explained everything in great detail. He discussed with me his action plan and what steps we would take moving forward. My mind is at ease and I am looking forward to getting through this journey, I am also confident that he has my best interest in mind. I am thankful!
