Dr. Hood is the best!

I think Dr. Hood is the best doctor I've ever had. He takes time to discuss everything I need to know about and usually without my having to ask a question. He's patient and caring.

My physician is skilled and has a lot of knowledge. The greatest attribute about him is that he cares for all patients and he has helped me. But, I rarely get to see him for my appointments. He always stays booked up. That is great for him but it is not for me. I do not get to see him all the time.

Dr. Hood had to fill out disability forms and a Fitness for Duty form. I apologized because the disability form was 4 pages long. This sort of requirement from my employer's disability department may have caused him to see his other patients late, but he remained patient and professional and thoroughly answer every question. Every time I leave his office, I feel confident that he truly cares for his patients and that we are not just numbers to him. Kudos to Emory for having him onboard as his bedside manners and professionalism are top notch.When I chose Emory for my healthcare, I did not realize I would eventually meet Dr. Hood and his wonderful staff.

Dr. Hood has been my PCP for a number of years now. He is also thorough, not pushy nor rushed, takes time to truly listen to you and looks into the background reasons for having to prescribe a med (i.e., my daughter died of breast cancer and my husband had just been released from the hospital). No, I didn't need an anti depressant, I stopped their use ony own so there were underlying issues going on at the time of my visit and he got to the bottom of them by simply asking skillful questions.

I absolutely love Dr. Hood, however the wait time in the back is horrible.
